Review of The Imposter (2012) by Gene B — 03 Mar 2013
The best documentary I've seen in years and, to boot , it doesn't even feel like a doc. This film reminds just how stranger than fiction life really is. If I wrote this you'd think it's rife with coincidence and strange twists that are impossible.
I sat focused on each and every frame of this unbelievable story about a missing little boy that is suddenly rediscovered years later in another country. That was the first surprise of many which kept coming until the final shots.
Think the doc Catfish on steroids.
