I was definitely in two minds about this, but it just goes to prove again that fact is infinitely stranger than fiction. And the FBI are sometimes just dumb office workers not willing to investigate much time and effort into establishing the true identity of a foreign national that bears little resemblance to a missing American boy, until an ageing PI points out the obvious to them.

This aint Scully and Mulder but it could have beent the plot ffor an episode of their show..
