Review of The Imposter (2012) by Michelle K — 22 Sep 2012
Frederick Bourdin: the ultimate chameleon, the ultimate con-man, brought to life in this amazing movie, a true story. A man who assumed 500 identities of lost boys till the age of 23. This is the story of one of his charades, assuming the identity of a young boy who disappeared from a Texas home at 13, now claiming to be that boy three years later.
How he did this and how he deceived a host of duped Texans and the grieving family (maybe) is depicted in the form of a mystery drama and crime story which will lead to lively discussions about this individual and this well-crafed movie over many cups of coffee and a few bottles of wine for many a day.
Easily the best movie of the year.
