Review of The Imposter (2012) by Jordan F — 25 Nov 2012
Quick Review:
A great doc about a 23 year old Frenchmen who takes advantage of a Southern family in the grips of loss. This film is really well edited and the reenactments are exquisitely visual. The film keeps you on your toes and never reveals too much. Imposter is constantly teasing mystery and you're not quite sure who's right til the very end . You'll definitely feel for the family who just wanted their boy back and their nightmare to end.
Side Note:
This is why everyone should study psychology and learn how trauma can affect ones judgment.
Also it's a very ugly cycle of misfortunes. The frenchman was born into a family that didn't love him and he in turn has no empathy for others. He only cared for himself and what he did with his lies was totally reprehensible.
