Review of The Imposter (2012) by Sarfaraz A — 27 Jan 2013
The Imposter British documentary film directed by Bart Layton. The story is about a French confidence-man named Frédéric Bourdin - in 1997 he impersonated Nicholas Barclay a teenage American boy from Texas, who disappeared in 1994 at the age of 13. The film was nominated for a grand jury world documentary prize at the Sundance Film Festival. It was also shortlisted for an Academy Award for Best Documentary.
Gripping, and affective, in a sense to thrust your imagination to calculate the depth of somebody's willingness to accomplish wrongdoings (the aim gotta be whatsoever).
CRIME PAYS::
That's what I always believe! I have watched numerous movies based on actual crimes- I have read true stories of crimes in the papers. A single deliberate 'lie', always pushes you to lie hundred more times just to stick 'round the first-one (that's what is regionally believed in my land).
