Review of The Impossible (2012) by Luca P — 27 Jan 2014
Emotional, well-filmed and nicely-acted, The Impossible fails somehow to captivate to its true potential. The plot indulges too much on cheesy sentimental scenes instead of diving deeply in the struggle of the characters to fight their demons while facing such overwhelming circumstances.
Plus it provides an unrealistic, overly-positive picture of people's reactions to the catastrophe.
