Review of The Impossible (2012) by Shounak B — 18 Mar 2014
Completely moved to see a disaster-film for the first time in life where the disaster is not under the focus of the limelight, but the aftermath of it, how the victims are still numbed by shock after 2/48 hours which is very normal for this scale of it, in this case 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, it's really heart rending how it's restaged very sensibly, not the grotesqueness of it actualy, but the mending of the victims, families, individuals if not physically, at least mentally.
