While it does get too sentimental and is probably a little more white-washed than a film taking place in Thailand should be, "The Impossible" is a powerhouse of a film. The man-vs-nature conflict is masterfully crafted throughout, and the performances capture the gravitas of the situation in full force.
"The Impossible" is Arpke Approved at 4 out of 5 stars.
