Review of The Impossible (2012) by Alessandro V — 23 Jan 2017
There is no way this movie can have a 81 rating on here. The movie is just so annoying to watch and totally predictable. And totally unrealistic because there is no way the entire family could have survived the tsunami of that proportion, their resort taking the full impact of the huge wave, while 300,000 die.
Just ridiculous. The endless sequence of the mother moaning and screaming... with a wound in her leg that is so huge that there is just no way she could walk, let alone...live. The script is sentimental and unbearable.
.. the young boys say things young boys would never say... and the mother keeps moaning, and showing tits by the way...yes Naomi's tits are cute but...no need to show them in this story and really not sexy.
Finally, this could easily be Ewan McGregor's worst role. Almost two hours of agony; an embarrassed and unconvinced acting,.,how could it be otherwise? In conclusion a total waste of time, not worth watching at all, it just spoils your night.
You can watch just the first 10 minutes with the tnunami scene that is not bad...until Naomi starts moaning and screaming...time to change channel or DVD!
