Yes, this really is splendidly adapted, probably one of my favourite comedies of all time. Oscar Wildes witty dialogue is simply so irresistible, and when you add a couple of fabulous actor-performances and clever visualization the result is: so f****g unbelievably funny.
Dame Judi Dench has to be mentioned separately. I just love her.
