Review of The Importance of Being Earnest (2002) by Silvia O — 28 Mar 2009
Not a masterpiece to me, but definitely a splendid satire. Ridicule fills every second of the movie. Nice performances by Colin Firth (marvelous, as always and still remarkably handsome even with those ugly glasses), Judi Dench (of course), Frances O'Connor (first time I saw her acting), Reese Witherspoon (yes, she can actually act, and her fake British accent was so good, I could have mistaken her for a real English actress).
