Review of The Imitation Game (2014) by Grayson E — 24 Apr 2015
This movie is out-of-sight the best performance by Benedict Cumberbatch for the big screen thus far! And his back-up, supporting cast is really tremendous, including none other than Keira Knightley and a great representation of WWII-era Britain. I would highly recommend this movie to others, even if it's not entirely true to the story of Alan Turing having something akin to Asperger's. Still, it works well to have a Turing character who is suffering from both a disability and being both insufferable as an individual and (spoiler alert!) homosexual. I have never teared up quite so much at the history and plight of homosexuals in England, but this movie pays homage and earns five stars easily. What a pity that the truth was never known until now; it is a masterful performance by Cumberbatch and company and highly recommend it.
I'm very curious now to see what audiences have in store for the BBC's production of "Richard." Sorry ladies, he's married..
