Review of The Imitation Game (2014) by Mike S — 23 Apr 2015
This straight-forward biopic is elevated by its fascinating story. The decision to keep the successfully decoding a secret is heartbreaking, but necessary to methodically win the war. The brilliant man Turing who invented the decoding machine, is played extremely well by Cumberbatch, forced to keep so many secrets, both war and personal.
The Christopher backstory is also well done as it's slowly told in flashbacks. Very good!
