Review of The Imitation Game (2014) by Andrew C. D — 05 Jun 2015
The Imitation Game is an enigma in itself. Though it's disguised as the formulaic "British Period Biography," it has the essence of a man vs society tragedy, a moral dilemma themed drama, or a historical thriller.
Cumberbatch and Knightly are both terrific as is the new unknown Alex Lawther, whose portrayal of the young Turing is as brilliant as Cumberbatch's portrayal of the old.
