Review of The Imitation Game (2014) by Meredith W — 26 Jan 2016
"The Imitation Game" is an excellent, Oscar-worthy film. As Cumberbatch asks in its opening, "are you paying attention?" Before long, it is clear that you should be, because this is a story that deserves to be told as it follows the story of brilliant English mathematician Alan Turing as he searches to break the Enigma cipher, i.
E. the code machine used by the Nazis during WW2. It is quite heartbreaking in places, and Benedict Cumberbatch's performance as the delicate genius but fragile narcissist Alan Turing is outstanding.
