Review of The Imitation Game (2014) by Kim B — 09 Jul 2016
A great untold heroes story. I read a brief overview about turing and remember thinking how awful. After seeing the film I think turing might've had a form of Aspergers or at least is portrayed like that.
Unfortunately, no one seemed to understand him or his brilliant mind except his one friend played by kiera knightley and some coworkers. The fact that england made it a crime to be gay was horrible and chemically castrating people is unconscionable.
I do wish the film wouldve explained that part more as far as his trial and how the ultra machine decoded a bit betterr seemed like it oversimplified it. Also I felt like it was missing some sort of connection or something with the viewer to this genius.
Overall tho a worthwhile tale about a man who helped us with wwii and start to invent computers.
