Review of The Imitation Game (2014) by Cadel K — 05 Aug 2015
This is a film that seems to rely heavily on its performances, and boy did they pull through. Cumberbatch and Lawther together create a character who we feel such sympathy for that by the end of the film when we learn how the government repaid him we can't help but get angry.
While this film has received criticism for being historically inaccurate, which to be honest wouldn't be surprising, the film still works very well thanks to its leading and supporting cast and the script that won the Academy Award for best adapted screenplay.
