Review of The Imitation Game (2014) by John K — 13 Sep 2015
Last 2 movies I've seen in a theater were I think this one, and A Most Wanted Man. Both I liked. But the point is, I've only found 2 movies in like the last 1 year that I was willing to pay the ticket price for.
That's how bad it is. Sure, there are a few other movies that I'm sure are well done -- Selma if you are interested in civil rights, or Still Alice if you are in the select group who wants to see a movie about Alzheimer's.
Yes, there are a few good movies out there but surprisingly few. It is really sad what has happened to Hollywood. they say that the creative people left and that Hollywood is owned and run by corporations.
That I do believe. And it is sad. Fortunately we still have a rich legacy from the golden era, the 40s, 50s, 60s, and the indies.
