Review of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009) by Reza P — 02 Dec 2012
Imaginarium... is often dark, yet beautiful. I am a big fan of the fantasy genre, this film took me in, it is a well scripted, well acted as well as directed complex movie.
This is Gillian's best, even outdoes his 12 monkeys(1995) and Brothers Grimm(2005). I watched this film without knowing that Ledger died half way of the shoot, so I was fascinated to see 3 other known faces. They have crafted the movie and Ledger's character so that we wont feel anything ode about it. I really liked the flashbacks and the witty devil and how he cheats the doctor throughout the film, its one of my favorites.
