Review of The Illusionist (2010) by Chris R — 14 Feb 2011
Rated 'The Illusionist (L'illusionniste)' 3 stars. For an almost totally silent film, and cartoon at that, it accomplishes a lot with it's minimalistic style. But, being as though I have never watched a whole lot of silent films, I can't help but feel that that hindered my enjoyment of the movie.
I can definitely see why it has been nominated for numerous awards, I just wasn't able to get into it as I'm sure others have.
