Review of The Illusionist (2006) by Billys. — 04 Sep 2006
They say magicians never reveal the secrets to their tricks and in The Illusionist they certainly respect that rule, but then again, that's half the fun of watching the movie. The CGI effects are some of the best i've seen because they all involve magic tricks and illusions, and though you know they're special effects, you're still looking for invisible wires and mirrors.
Edward Norton shines again, he just doesn't do bad movies and Paul Giamatti redeems himself after Lady in the Water. Rufas Sewell is noteworthy for his role of the power hungry prince who fears the The Illusionist.
