Review of The Illusionist (2006) by Danb. — 26 Aug 2006
I'm no Paul Giamatti fan but he's particularly good in this. As is Rufus Sewell (I think that's his name) as the Crown Prince. Biel and Norton do good jobs also but somehow I couldn't care about them or their love.
Which is why this gets a 7. Also, film looked fantastic. Had much cleverness in it. I wished the "illusions" were a teeny bit less obviously CGI.
