Review of The Illusionist (2006) by Michaelf. — 06 Sep 2006
My interest in the film grew as it went along; by the end I was hooked. Of course, it was easy to guess going in that the film would end in some kind of "illusion," but getting there was fascinating.
One measure of a film is whether viewers discuss it afterward. We did extensiviely and agreed that we would have to see it again (on DVD) to catch all the illusions. Norton and Giamatti were terrific.
