Review of The Illusionist (2006) by Jackson C — 02 Mar 2012
Relies on its one gimmick, allowing the plot to run a little too wild. Maybe I had my hopes up too high but the storyline was only good, not extraordinary. Nevertheless, the film was beautiful artistically and Paul Giamatti's performance was simply awe-inspiring, the role that he portrayed was so full of colour and character, definitely the high point of the film.
