Review of The Ides of March (2011) by Kate H — 04 Nov 2012
And we have a very nice loss of innocence sort of thing going on here. We have nice guy junior press officer Ryan Gosling who ends up becoming just as cutthroat and even the best at it by the film's end because he needs to survive in this world.
That's sort of the insidious nature of life in politics as we're seeing here - you have everything taking place in one party but with so many levels of underhanded dealings that you actually forget that technically everyone is on the same side and these are only primary's.
Certainly engaging enough.
