Review of The Ides of March (2011) by Dodds D — 19 Dec 2013
This is the second movie I've watched in short period of time by Gosling that had a shitty ending. The movie was entertaining throughout, a very intellectual movie, with strong acting, that kept me thinking and trying to figure it out. I was able to read the story and tell where it was going, but I watched this with a group of four people and they weren't able to see where it was going.
Then it ended - it was horrible and out of nowhere. I understood what they were trying to say, and the commentary that they were trying to make on the political arena, but it was still a shit end. It took me twenty minutes to explain it to the people I was with, and no movie should have an ending that leaves that much open in the finish.
