Review of The Identical (2014) by Darlene P — 09 Sep 2014
Three of my employees went to see it. All 20 something women. One is an atheist, one is on the fence, and one is a Christian. They ALL loved it! All but the atheist cried through the touching scenes. The atheist said she loved it so much she would go see it again.
I am 50 something and my parents are in their 80s and saw it. All of us loved it. So I think there is something in this movie that appeals to everyone. Even the 20 somethings loved the music and it isn't something from their generation.
Don't believe the critics! Judge this movie for yourself because it is family friendly, clean, and the spirituality is fairly subtle given that the main characters (Ray Liotta and Ashley Judd) are a preacher and his wife.
What else would you expect but for them to talk about The Lord. It is a slice of life from that time period and very entertaining for any age group.
