Review of The Iceman (2012) by Frank D — 04 Sep 2013
Not quite the drama I was expecting it should be after reading the book. the book takes a heavy focus on the bringing down of this killer. I feel the movie shows too much sympathy to the killer (in regards to his family) and avoiding the awful truths of his crimes, which is what keeps this movie from entering into being a great crime movie (Goodfellas), a great movie criminal we can root for(Blow), or even a criminal/cop thriller (The Departed).
It was aiming for a movie like Blow, but the crimes are much too serious here to root for him all the way through.
