Review of The Iceman (2012) by Chris C — 25 Sep 2015
A slightly above average biopic about infamous mob contract killer, Richard Kuklinski, The Iceman. Several great acting performances are muddled by a plot that is kind of hard to follow, especially if you know nothing about The Iceman's story.
Loved Michael Shannon as Kuklinski, Winona Rider was great as his wife and Chris Evans serves up a big performance as ice cream truck killer, Robert Sponge. David Schwimmer does a great job in a non-traditional role for him as hitman, Josh Rosenthal.
Didn't really like Ray Liotta as Roy Demeo, and don't even think he resembles him in the slightest. Bad casting. Enjoyed the movie, but don't think it does the story justice.
