Review of The Ice Storm (1997) by Amanda J — 04 May 2008
Good performances all around, great attention to visual detail. It's a compelling portrait of a family in a certain place and time...however, not much in the way of plot. I think "The Squid and the Whale" does a better job of capturing the recent past, while still moving the story along by charting the oldest boy's moral development.
