Review of The Ice Storm (1997) by Cheryl S — 02 Jan 2009
A very well-crafted drama. Ang Lee does a great job of conveying the awkwardness and the malaise that seem to rule the lives of those people, whose interactions are often quite unsettling to watch. The great cast--notably Kline and Allen--bring their flawed characters to life with admirable subtlety.
All in all, I can't say I really 'enjoyed' it, but I sure was impressed.
