Review of The Ice Storm (1997) by Mark Y — 20 Jun 2009
The movie serves to reinforce the antithetical movement of later eras to the 60's/70's emerging evaluation of man's direction in regards to relationships, love, and personal evolution. The tragic ending and self absorbent behavior of the characters is intended, wittingly or not, to shock us back to a reverence of family values.
The Ice Storm deserves top shelve placement along with the most conservative based tomes or our era.
