Review of The Ice Storm (1997) by L B — 26 May 2013
Very subtle, nuanced movie that never shows pr says too much. I felt like it was a toned-down, less blown-up 'American Beauty' or 'Crash.' Great cast performance. Sigourney Weaver was chilling; Kevin Kline was great as the estranged, oblivious father and husband, I loved how his 'decay' is being portrayed.
Very impressed with the younger cast: Christina Ricci, Elijah Wood, and Jamey Sheridan in particular.
