I actually found myself really enjoying this. While the script is only so-so, John Cusack just really made a tremendous effort and made it an above average comedy. It also has a very strong supporting cast including Billy Bob Thorton, Oliver Platt and Randy Quaid (go figure).
It is relentless and extremely dark for a comedy, which makes it so refreshing.
