Review of The I Inside (2004) by Jason Y — 09 Mar 2005
DVD First Viewing, 1 Richter film seen.
I recommend The I Inside to people who were disappointed in both The Butterfly Effect and The Jacket. While it is certainly influenced by stories like those, as well as Memento and Jacob's Ladder, it stands well on its own - especially for a TV/straight-to-video release. Maybe I was expecting the usual b-movie crap, but I thought The I Inside was quite involving and even a little thoughtful. It's actually the film I was hoping to see when I saw The Jacket.
I count The I Inside as a 2005 release, because I think its American release was on television in January. It's DVD release was just last week. I know it was made a long time ago - but it must have sat on the shelf.
