Paul Newman's signature character and movie. There is are a ton of reasons to see this, but most of all it is the performances. George C. Scott is fantastic as "Fast" Eddie Felson's manager and Jackie Gleason is extremely good in a rare dramatic role as pool kingpin Minnesota Fats.
The 60s were a great decade for Paul Newman and this is one of his best.
