Review of The Hustler (1961) by Lester F — 15 Dec 2012

Awesome cinematography and good acting (especially from Paul Newman). I found the story pretty interesting, and for a movie about pool it did a great job keeping my attention. My issue with this movie was how they dealt with the girlfriend, it wasn't well developed at the start and her character didn't make much sense if you really think about it; you could have cut her out or replaced her and it would have been fine.

I also though the ending could have been less abrupt but I can understand why the movie ended the way it did.
