It's exactly what it sounds like. So this is about a band of criminals who plan to take all the money that is scheduled to be shredded out of circulation from the National Treasury. They orchestrated all of this around a massive Category 5 hurricane, but what they didn't count on was a federal agent (Maggie Grace), a redneck meteorologist (Toby Kebbell) and his repairman brother (Ryan Kwanten) being there to step in and save the day.

Seems like it was just the other day where Maggie Grace was the daughter in distress in Taken, so I suppose it is not surprising that she wanted a change of pace where she gets to be the badass for once.

Unfortunately, she chose the wrong movie to break type casting, because this is something that should have probably gone straight to the Syfy Channel. There's no way around it: this movie is just dumb.

From the ludicrous premise to the hurricane that decides on a dime if it is going to be dangerous or not, this is a movie that you have to check your brain at the door if you want to even stand a remote chance at having a decent time.

This is not the worst thing in the world, but really, when you break it down, it is on par with something like Into the Storm. That said, where that movie had the gimmick of being found footage, this movie really didn't have any advantage at all, and the proof is in the pudding with poor box office receipts.

This was a box office disaster (pun partially intended), making only less than 1/5th of its production budget back. If that isn't audiences speaking with their dollars, I don't know what is; you have to at least try a little bit to have people show up and buy tickets.

Even though this had a redneck with a PhD, this movie is filled with clichéd characters and it is cheesy as can be. All of the one liners that fall flat are present as expected, and this is just everything you imagined it would be, and not in a good way.

The script is as wildly inconsistent as the hurricane itself, and it is surprising that we are getting this movie in 2018. I mean really, the only way this movie could get a fraction of a pass is if it came out within two years of the release of the movie Twister, but they are two decades late to that party.

It's occasionally entertaining in an unambitious way, but that is about as faint as praise gets.
