Almost ascending to the rank of 'So-Bad-Its-Hilarious', The Hurricane Heist is yet anther movie from the Roland Emmerich/Dean Devlin school of Destroying The World. In his attempts to make a deadly hurricane movie, Rob Cohen manages to rip of The Perfect Storm, Twister, 2012, The Day After Tomorrow and, most alarmingly, his very own The Fast & The Furious.

The opening sequence is a shameful clone of the 2nd movie in the aforementioned list, and things go downhill from there. I will admit to chuckling a few times, especially at the woefully inept and poorly integrated CGI, which looks like it came straight out of an Asylum movie.

The plot is wafer thin, and no effort is made to explain why the millions of dollars in the movie is begin shredded in the first place. Or maybe I just missed the explanation, since the film is so uninteresting that you watch in the vain hope that things will improve.

They don't, and when Mr Cohen concludes the film by plagiarising the truck-chasing sequence from the end of, yep, The Fast & The Furious, it's clear that the bare minimum of effort was made in cobbling together a film so stupid that a trio of fully loaded lorries is able to outrun a deadly hurricane that sucks up and destroys everything in its path.

Don't even bother with it.
