Review of The Hurricane (1999) by Stephen B — 25 Mar 2009
One of Denzel's best roles: intense while vulnerable, eloquent and real (A shame he gets the Oscar for a decent but showy turn in Training Day). You can't take your eyes off him. While the tangential story can't quite keep up with the main Rubin Carter arc, it does add more than it detracts.
Something definitely in the air in 1999.
