Review of The Huntsman: Winter's War (2016) by Barrett H — 08 May 2016

This movie has some seriously good aspects but really has some bad too. Plot was pretty awful and the motivations of characters were not the best or very consistent. The visuals and scenery were fantastic.

The cast was very good but not utilized the best. Hemsworth and Chastain were fine but Hemsworth was a little too laid back of a character and Chastain was too emotionless. Emily Blunt was ok but is quite good at the end.

Charlize Theron was absolutely fantastic but not in it nearly enough. Blunt's character was much better when Charlize was in the film. It really had some great effects, solid action and the last 20 minutes are really good.

It's just that it was too slow throughout most of the movie and absurd at times. It's sad because a few major tweaks and this really good have been a great movie.
