Review of The Huntsman: Winter's War (2016) by Gamerzx — 23 Sep 2016
The movie had a good cast. Good sets. You could practically smell the leather on the outfits. The stunts were good. The problem was there was no story other than cliches. Some backstory on the dwarves would have been interesting. Hi Ho Hi Ho along with a battle song of them forging weapons. Anything but two random dwarves joining for comic relief. Too many cliches in fantasy cinema. The ban love cliche followed in the end by the ice queen turning over a new leaf to help destroy her more evil sister was painful although fitting for the Ice Queen and the Evil Queen.
That hated Snow White Queen in the faerie tale.
A quest by the party some good stunts good outfits and good cast does not a great movie make. It made me wish in the end the Abominable Snowman from Rudolph had helped destroy the Ice Queens palace. Instead of Smaug at the beginning the Abominable Snowman helping the Hero and Heroine break up the set at the end.
