Review of The Huntsman: Winter's War (2016) by Crystal B — 17 May 2016
I liked the plot and the acting and definitely the dialogue.
There was a much more meaningful story here than in that Snow White story (that was RUINED by Kristen Stuart). If only the other movie had used Emily Browning instead of Kristin Stuart, it would've been very good AND left a great impression on audiences. Fortunately this movie had much better casting and excellent writing.
The drama was engaging and got me to care about and empathize with the protagonists and surprisingly, I even got to the point where I sort of empathized with the he villainess. Also, there were some surprisingly laugh-out-loud funny moments of sassy insults between the dwarves.
I really really enjoyed this movie and am grateful it acted as a combo prequel/sequel.
