Review of The Hunting Ground (2015) by Steve W — 05 Oct 2016
This movie should add another subgenre to its category: horror. The events depicted in this movie is simply horrific, raw, and brutal. Real victims com forward to tell their story, and others shocking stories are brought to light, such as the lack of investigation into NFL superstar Jameis Winston.
Its not an easy watch, such as the scene with the cheerful woman who then quickly breaks down, at that point I did not know she was a victim I thought she an expert. There was also the interview with the father, just heartbreaking stuff.
This movie is the equivalent of an expose into a current and problematic culture, and should be viewed by everyone and anyone.
