Review of The Hunter (1980) by Cli O — 11 Oct 2008
The great Steve McQueen's last movie role before his untimely death. Tale of bounty hunter Ralph "papa" Thorson and his exploits and adventures while doing his job, all the while being stalked by a disgruntled ex con who Papa put away years earlier.
Funny to see McQueen grind his way through the gears on his old car with a three on the tree, being such a great driver in real life McQueen is believable as a "terrible driver".
Not the greatest McQueen movie, but well worth the watch.
