Review of The Hunt for Red October (1990) by Peter B — 27 Oct 2009
Confidently told by an on fire after doin die hard mctiernan this is a tense slow burner that is all the better because it takes its time. Connery is on scene devouring form balancing menace and humour in sudden bursts of each.
Numerous good character actors pop up and lend the film a truly cinematic exciting feel. The score too is a real standout and escalates the feeling of impending doom in a satisfying way.
