Review of The Hunt for Red October (1990) by Dave C — 10 Apr 2011
While The Hunt For Red October loses steam during a few moments in its 2:15 runtime, by and large this is a thrilling film that's buoyed by little more than its excellent script. McTiernan's action-saavy direction is eschewed for all but a few scenes, but here he shows his ability to create tense moments regardless of whether shit is being blown up or not.
Definitely recommended.
