Review of The Hunt (2013) by Diana L — 11 Jul 2013
Wow. Horrifying, brutal film. I don't really know how to say I liked it. It wasn't something I would wish to see repeatedly, but the fact that I saw it was rewarding. For one, the film is disturbing and thought-provoking, asking hard questions about truth, lies, and our children.
Are we leading them to say something that perhaps isn't true? Are we giving off the impression that actions don't come with consequences? It's a difficult film to watch, but is also worth it for the amazingly brilliant performance by the wonderful Mads Mikkelsen.
He is the heart and soul of said film and I don't know what else to tell you other than the fact that he deserves whatever award(s) come his way. Overall, a worthy Danish film that leaves you with questions.
10/10.
