Review of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015) by Sanyrub — 06 Dec 2015
Surprisingly good franchise that comes to an end with this final chapter where we finally see the war getting to its climax, not very usual in the typical sugar-coated blockbusters out there. Great acting pieces as always, especially from Jennifer Lawrence, who is pretty much perfect with very moving moments.
You are left confused and jaw-dropped as events unfold. But also, from the rest of the cast. Josh as Peta has been fantastic too, and all the veterans who added quality to the films were good as always.
What a great cast. I had never read the books and was never interested in this until Catching Fire hit theaters, so I was totally impressed with the final happenings. It´s true the epilogue seems a little out of place, but after so many strong events I understand they wanted to close it all with a positive message.
Very entertaining with both great action scene and shockingly realistic war developments and more quiet pieces to let every actor shine. Top 3 blockbuster of the year along with Mad max (first) and The Martian.
