Review of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015) by Devo-Nc — 22 Nov 2015
As always, at it's best during sequences of renegade survival. The Hunger Games series ends with some empowering moments and a sleek send-off not too shocking and not too less than stellar. However beyond the games themselves, most of the drama is boring.
This one is a slow-starter and in some way has less action than the first 2 films, as the finale the epic vibes are replaced by depressing melo-drama we saw before in Harry Potter. Never has a 2-part ending worked.
The last 2 HP movies were my least favourite and the same goes for HG. There just isn't enough material to give us something substantial in 2 separate films. The ending was fairly predictable and the mythos has never been that interesting.
But it's on the same level as the previous 3, the hunger games is all right but could be so much better.
